Grid-enabled evolutionary algorithm application in the mechanical optimization problems

The application of evolutionary algorithms to the optimization problems is presented in the paper. The Alchemi grid framework is used during computations. The fitness function is evaluated by using finite-element method. The numerical examples and speedup measurements for a different number of processors are shown.
