Avances en prótesis: una mirada al presente y al futuro

ResumenEn las últimas décadas se han registrado grandes avances en el ámbito de las prótesis de tanto en miembros superiores como inferiores. Esto ha permitido que cada vez las prótesis se asemejen más a las extremidades que intentan reemplazar y hoy podamos hablar de prótesis robóticas o biónicas. El objetivo de este artículo es revisar los distintos hitos históricos que han permitido este importante avance y revisar la literatura científica para analizar las últimas tecnologías que se están utilizando.

SummaryIn the last decades there have been great advances in both upper limb prosthesis and lower limb prosthesis. Thanks to that, each time prosthesis look more alike to the extremities they are trying to replace and today we can talk of robotic or bionic prosthesis. The aim of this paper is to review the different historical highlights that have allowed these important advances to occur and to analyze the last technologies available through scientific literature.
