¿Qué esconde un síntoma o signo raro en un paciente en proceso de incapacidad laboral?

Occupational diseases are a specific group characterised by their aetiology, derived from the exposure to certain substances in the working environment. There has been significant advances in the knowledge and prevention of these diseases over the last decades. A Royal Decree was published in Spain in 2006, which led to registering these diseases. Its declaration determines specific social and social security benefits for these patients, as well as , which payment corresponds to the Social Security National Institute, and a special research field that looks at new prevention areas. Family doctors (G.P.) can take part in the diagnosis of these diseases, being obliged to declare its epidemiological suspicion. Therefore, we have a new function and responsibility in the care of our patients who could suffer from any occupational disease. Training of the professionals and coordination health organisations are required for this to be developed effectively.
