Management in outpatients of adults with Crohn’s disease

Crohn’s disease is a chronic condition affecting the whole gastrointestinal tract from mouth to anus. It is mostly diagnosed, managed and treated by physicians and GPs, with occasional surgical interventions. Thus it is outpatient management that is central for the patient. This article covers both the initial diagnosis and treatment, and some of the longer term management issues.
