Duodenal and small intestinal atresias and stenosis

Intestinal atresias and stenoses are common causes of intestinal obstruction in the neonate. The diagnosis and treatment of the various types of intestinal atresia are discussed. The aetiology, associated anomalies, presentation, surgery and postoperative care differ depending on the site of the lesion.
