Relationship of Impaired Olfactory Function in ESRD to Malnutrition and Retained Uremic Molecules

Our results suggest an association between poor nutritional status and impaired olfactory function in patients with ESRD. Additional research is needed to discover the uremic toxins mediating these processes.
