A phase II study of aflibercept in patients with advanced epithelial ovarian cancer and symptomatic malignant ascites

► We investigated aflibercept as palliative treatment in advanced ovarian cancer with recurrent ascites. ► Aflibercept controlled ascites were tolerated; treatment-related grade 3/4 adverse events were infrequent. ► Aflibercept offers the potential to provide effective symptom relief in selected patients in this setting.
