RETRACTED: A study to evaluate the utility of presurgical CA125 to predict optimal tumor cytoreduction of epithelial ovarian cancer

Please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (http://www.elsevier.com/locate/withdrawalpolicy).Reason: It was discovered that the authors had plagiarized over 90% of the text of a paper that had already been published: “The utility of presurgical CA125 to predict optimal tumor cytoreduction of epithelial ovarian cancer”, by Dr. T.S. Barlow et al., Int. J. Gynecol. Cancer, 16 (2006) 496–500. One of the conditions of submission of a paper for publication in Gynecologic Oncology is that the authors declare explicitly that their work is original and has not appeared in a publication elsewhere. As such this article represents a severe abuse of the scientific publishing system. The scientific community takes a very strong view on this matter and we apologize to readers of the journal that this was not detected during the submission and review process.
