Prolégomènes à tout abord psychanalytique de l'endométriose

RésuméL'endométriose est une maladie qui doit être traitée médicalement ou chirurgicalement. Cependant, elle peut aussi être abordée comme un symptôme au sens de la psychanalyse. Mais avant de s'engager dans cet abord, des prolégomènes doivent être considérés. L'idéologie scientiste de l'Homme–machine de La Mettrie, le sujet de l'inconscient tel que la psychanalyse le promeut depuis plus d'un siècle, le post-traumatic stress disorder des auteurs anglo-saxons, le féminin et la structure psychique classiquement dénommée hystérie représentent, pour l'essentiel, ceux-ci. Une revue de la littérature du domaine psychopathologique anglophone et francophone introduit à notre propre expérience psychanalytique des femmes endométriosiques. Enfin, une consultation publique est envisagée pour confirmer ou infirmer scientifiquement les données de l'expérience psychanalytique.

Endometriosis is a disease, which requires medication or surgery to be treated. However, it can be considered as a symptom psychoanalytically speaking. Before going further into the question from this point of view, let us examine some prolegomena — preliminary principles. The scientistic ideology of a La Mettrie's “Human Machine”, the unconscious subject promoted by psychoanalysts for more than a century, the Anglo-American notion of post-traumatic stress disorder, and womanhood and the mental structure customarily called hysteria stand for the main prolegomena. English and French speaking psychopathological literature is reviewed to introduce our personal experience of women with endometriosis. Finally, a public consultation is considered to confirm or invalidate scientific data stemmed from psychoanalytical experience.
