Retinal Sensitivity Loss and Structural Disturbance in Areas of Capillary Nonperfusion of Eyes with Diabetic Retinopathy

Areas of capillary nonperfusion resulting from severe nonproliferative or proliferative diabetic retinopathy show morphologic changes of the retinal structure, which may lead to a loss of sensitivity.
