Assessment of the strength of minicapsulorhexes

Peripheral minicapsulorhexes were more resistant to rupture than central capsulorhexes in eye-bank eyes, probably because of increased lens capsule thickness at the periphery. An increase in capsulorhexis diameter increased the resistance to rupture.
