Transient decline in rats' hippocampal theta power relates to inhibitory stimulus-reward association

► We recorded hippocampal theta power during a discrimination-reversal task in rats. ► The results revealed that hippocampal theta power declined during the reversal phase. ► This study suggest that the hippocampal theta activity related to retrieval negative memory retrieval.
