Cerebral correlates of visual lateralization in Sepia

► We examined whether brain asymmetries are present in juvenile cuttlefish. ► Monoamines are more concentrated in the left optic lobe. ► Anatomical brain asymmetries are correlated with behavioral asymmetries. ► The larger the right optic lobe, the stronger the bias to turn leftwards. ► Similar correlation was found between the vertical lobe and behavioral asymmetries.
