► This technique ensures exactly the same sample orientation for every imaging session. ► A sample's glass surface is turned to the horizontal for perfect imaging conditions. ► Invariant orientation and imaging conditions make data analysis more trustworthy. ► Our method is the first step towards a fully automated imaging system.
