Beta functional connectivity modulation during the maintenance of motion information in working memory: Importance of the familiarity of the visual context

► Does the visual display influence the maintenance of familiar motion in memory? ► Motions were embedded in familiar (video) and unfamiliar (point-light) displays. ► FC differences were detected between the two displays when holding information active. ► Differences were found in the frontal and right temporal areas in the 13-20 Hz band. ► Perceived difficulty of the upcoming recognition task may explain the results.
