Invasion of Impatiens glandulifera affects terrestrial gastropods by altering microclimate

► We conduct a field experiment in a forest invaded by Impatiens glandulifera. ► We compared gastropod communities in invaded and uninvaded forest habitats. ► Gastropod abundance and richness increased in invaded forests. ► This increase resulted from a modified microclimate caused by the invasive plant.
