Influence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and water regime on the development of endemic Thymus species in dolomitic soils

► AM symbiosis is critical for Thymus target spp. development in dolomitic soils. ► AM fungi play a key role under water restrictions and high Mg and Ca soil concentrations. ► AM inoculation could be used as a tool for propagation of both Thymus species. ► This could be a basis for restoration and conservation strategies of natural habitat.
