Dynamics of methanotrophic communities in tropical alkaline landfill upland soil

▶ Methanotrophic community's composition under different vegetation on landfill top soil was analyzed by T-RFLP. ▶ Accumulated precipitation, temperature, sampling depth and soil pH could affect methanotrophic community structures. ▶ The abundance of type II methanotrophs declined in response to increased precipitation and increased atmospheric temperature.
