Swimming activity responses to water current reversal support selective tidal-stream transport hypothesis in juvenile thinlip mullet Liza ramada

► Selective tidal stream transport was never highlighted for catadromous thinlip mullet. ► Young mullets were submitted to L/D cycle and reversal current in experimental flume. ► Young mullets were synchronised with reversal current and with L/D cycle. ► Our results supported the diurnal flood-tide transport hypothesis for young mullets.
