Positive feedback induced memory effect in ischemic preconditioning

► We model the positive feedback induced memory in cardioprotection. ► We derive the relationship between the memory duration and the feedback strength. ► The positive feedback with hysteresis is effective in prolonging protection. ► Increasing feedback strength will increase the memory duration.
