Sustained high temperature increases the vitellogenin response to 17α-ethynylestradiol in mummichog (Fundulus heteroclitus)

► Warm-acclimated males exposed EE2 induced more vtg1 than cold-acclimated males. ► Changes in salinity or acute heat shock did not affect vtg1 mRNA induction. ► HSP90 and HSP70 have little to do with the increased vtg1 in warm-acclimated fish.
