Modulation of manganese toxicity in Pisum sativum L. seedlings by kinetin

▶ Results showed that KN differentially modulated Mn toxicity in pea seedlings. ▶ Kinetin (100 μM) alone produced negative effects on growth of pea. ▶ Moreover, when 100 μM of KN was given together with Mn, it increased Mn toxicity. ▶ On the contrary, addition of 10 μM of KN together with Mn reduces Mn toxicity. ▶ Thus, use of 10 μM of KN may be an alternative strategy to reduce Mn toxicity.
