Conditions for a class of dimensional dual hyperovals to be of polar type

A d-dimensional dual hyperoval with ϕ monomial is of polar type if and only if d is even, ϕ∈Gal(GF(2d+1)/GF(2)) and σϕ2=idGF(2d+1).
