Necessary conditions for reversed Dickson polynomials to be permutational

We give several necessary conditions for the reversed Dickson polynomial Dn(1,x) to be a permutation of Fq. In particular, we give explicit evaluation of ∑a∈FqDni(1,a) for i=1,2.
