Radical 3-subgroups and essential 3-rank of F4(q)

We classify maximal 3-local subgroups and radical 3-subgroups of G=F4(q) when q odd, and then determine the essential 3-rank of the Frobenius category FD(G), where D is a Sylow 3-subgroup of G.
