Nichols algebras over groups with finite root system of rank two I

We study Nichols algebras of direct sums of two absolutely simple Yetter–Drinfeld modules over non-abelian groups and arbitrary fields. We construct families of new examples, where the Nichols algebra is finite-dimensional and not of diagonal type.
