Pushing up point stabilizers, II

This paper is a continuation of the paper [G. Parmeggiani, Pushing up point stabilizers, I, J. Algebra 319 (9) (2008) 3854–3884]. Under the same hypotheses, we determine those amalgams which involve SLn(q), n⩾3, as factors.
