On subgroups of the group GL7GL7 over a field that contain a Chevalley group of type G2G2 over a subfield

Let k be field of characteristic ≠ 2, 3. Assume that k contains more than 11 elements and let K be an algebraic field extension of k  . The present paper describes subgroups of the general linear group GL7(K)GL7(K) that contain the Chevalley group G2(k)G2(k).
