The Multilinear Algebra of José Dias da Silva and the Portuguese school of mathematics

In Portugal, Multilinear Algebra has a strong group of researchers that achieved, in the last years, some impressive results in this area. This paper surveys the results obtained by this group and the current state of knowledge on the different problems.
