A class of oscillatory matrices with exponent n − 1

A matrix A is called an oscillatory matrix if it is totally nonnegative and there exists a positive integer k such that Ak is totally positive. In this paper we describe the class of n × n oscillatory matrices which have maximal exponent equal to n − 1.
