A note on additive mappings decreasing rank one

Kuzma characterized additive mappings on the space of all finite rank bounded linear operators on a real or complex Banach space that decreases operators of rank one. In this note, we give a short proof of his result in a slightly more general setting of the tensor product of a right and a left vector space over a division ring.
