Nonlinear matrix equations and structured linear algebra

Different kinds of nonlinear matrix equations are analyzed and their interplay with certain structured matrices is pointed out. By using the point of view and the tools of structured linear algebra, both theoretical results and numerical methods are derived for solving different classes of nonlinear matrix equations.
