Computer algebra and colored Jones polynomials

In this paper, we apply computer algebra (MAPLE) techniques to calculate the N-colored Jones polynomial of the trefoil knot and the figure eight knot. For this purpose, a computer program was developed. When an integer N ⩾ 2 is given, the program calculates the N-colored Jones polynomial of the trefoil and the figure eight knot.
