Nanomachines as the basic functional units of nanonetworks can perform only very simple tasks, due to their limited size and complexity. This drawback brings up the necessity of communication between nanomachines in order to perform complicated tasks. This paper introduces a novel nanonetwork environment based on the unique identification of ssDNAs (single-stranded DNAs) attached to every nanoelement. In the nanonetwork environment proposed, propagation and transmission systems using ssDNAs on vesicles and microtubules are employed in order to avoid the disadvantages of the short-range communication based on ion spreading. We have proposed a humoral immunity-based database mechanism which will be used in modified plasma cells for storing the ssDNA addresses of the neighbouring nanoelements. Moreover, the messaging framework which enables unicast, multicast, and broadcast messaging among nanoelements, is introduced. The resulting nanonetwork environment is much closer to the information technology point of view, considering its ability of advanced messaging and database implementation. This framework could be used to implement nanonetworks in the next couple of decades.
