A sequence defined by MM-sequences

In this note we consider the sequence whose nnth term is the number of MM-sequences of length nn. We show that the nnth term of this sequence is bounded above by the nnth Fibonacci number and bounded below by the number of integer partitions of nn into distinct parts.
