A note on negacyclic self-dual codes over Z2aZ2a

In this note, we investigate negacyclic self-dual codes over Z2aZ2a using the higher torsion codes. It is proved that all negacyclic self-dual codes over Z2aZ2a are of Type I. Examples of extreme Type I codes over Z2aZ2a from negacyclic codes are given.
