On multiplicity of maps

We consider classical (homotopy) root problem and its “global” version. In the paper, these problems are solved for finite-sheeted coverings of manifold-like continua. In particular case, namely of compact connected finite-dimensional abelian groups, we obtain solution for arbitrary continuous maps.
