Stable splitting of the complex connective K-theory of BO(n)

We give the complete stable splitting of the complex connective K-theory of the classifying space of the n-th orthogonal group for all n⩾1. Only three types of spectra show up: bu, mod 2 Eilenberg–Mac Lane spectra, and bu∧RP∞.
