Matrix inversion using orthogonal polynomials

In this note we explicitly evaluate the determinants and inverses of certain matrices that generalize Hilbert matrices by exploiting the relationship between the kernel polynomials of some system of orthogonal polynomials and their associated Hankel matrices.
