A novel polystyrene with non-symmetrical zinc phthalocyanines as terminal group

In this study, new functional polystyrene (PS) polymer with unsymmetrical zinc phthalocyanine terminal group been successfully prepared by Cu(I)-catalyzed Huisgen 1,3 dipolar cycloaddition “click” reaction Polystyrene with ZnPc-terminal functional group exhibited good thermal stability and low glass transition temperature due to bulky phthalocyanine group. Contact angle analysis showed that the surface of PS-ZnPc film was more hydrophobic than precursor PS polymer.114
