Carbazole-based aggregation-induced emission (AIE)-active gold(I) complex: Persistent room-temperature phosphorescence, reversible mechanochromism and vapochromism characteristics

A carbazole-based gold(I) complex was successfully synthesized. The complex is AIE-active, and it can emit persistent room-temperature phosphorescence. Moreover, the luminogen exhibits reversible mechanochromism and vapochromism characteristics.232
