Dynamic harmonic balance principle and analysis of rocking block motions

► The dynamic harmonic balance condition is formulated. ► And a frequency-domain approach to analysis of transient oscillatory processes is developed. ► The previously developed approach, which did not account for the rate of change of the frequency, is improved. ► The proposed method is applied to analysis of decaying motions of the rocking block.
