Modeling and simulation of soft sensor design for real-time speed estimation, measurement and control of induction motor

► The design of a speed soft sensor for an induction motor is presented. ► We detail in particular the validation step using automatic control theory. ► To obtain a complete validation of the sensor in the whole speed range, the model is modified. ► A powerful and simple tool is provided in order to ensure the validation. ► Several model modifications are recalled and using the proposed tool.
