A novel nitroolefin functionalized diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP-NO2) was designed and synthesized as a highly sensitive and selective probe for detecting glutathione (GSH) over cysteine (Cys), homocysteine (Hcy) and other amino acids in aqueous media.
