Reprint of: Preparation of a novel sodium alginate/polyvinyl formal composite with a double crosslinking interpenetrating network for multifunctional biomedical application

The novel double crosslinking sodium alginate (SA)/polyvinyl formal (PVF) composites with interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) structure were developed. Different SA and cross linkers content were used to control the performance of the composites. The micromorphology gradually changed and the highest hydroexpansivity reached 2150%.316
