Wind Energy and Multi-criteria Analysis in Making Decisions on the Location of Wind Farms

The paper presents a discussion on different methods of multi-criteria analysis and different rules of proceedings that have to be taken into account when making a decision regarding the location of a wind farm in the NE Poland. In the study, six multi-criteria analyses were discussed taking into account the main criteria on which they are based: utility functions (MAUT, AHP, DEMATEL), relationships outranking (ELECTRE, PROMETHEE), and decision support (Borda ranking methods).
