Reinforced concrete (RC) slabs, plates and walls are likely to be impacted by projectiles which may cause ejection of concrete mass in the form of secondary projectiles. One of the aims of mixing hybrid fibers (i.e. fibers containing steel and plastic fibers in different proportions) in concrete is to reduce the generation of secondary projectiles (i.e. ejection of concrete mass). Although the prediction of ejected mass of concrete is quite important but a very limited research is available on this topic. In the present study, authors have extended their earlier proposed models on ejected mass of concrete to incorporate the effect of fibers in hybrid fibers reinforced concrete (HFRC) slabs. The model parameters were determined using experimental test data with reasonable accuracy. The predicted mass of concrete was compared with the experimentally observed ejected mass and a reasonably good agreement was observed.
