Importance of Different Vegetation Used on Green Roofs in Terms of Lowering Temperature and Water Retention

Aim of this research is to describe the experiment and the analysis of temperature differences under different plant types used on green roof in Kosice city. The temperatures under the foliage of plant, on the soil, where the plant is growing were recorded for the same duration. It has been deduced that choice of the vegetation plays a crucial role in lowering temperature differences on green roofs and therefore it might also play crucial role on water retention of green roofs.
