International transmission of environmental policy: A New Keynesian perspective

► We examine the international transmission of environmental policy using a New Keynesian model. ► We first consider the case in which the quality of the environment affects utility. ► We then consider the case in which environment quality increases productivity. ► Results show that a more stringent domestic environmental policy raises foreign welfare.
