Preparation and characterization of single crystals [Ln(TBPO)4(NO3)2]NTf2 (Ln = Eu, Gd)

We prepared two single crystals [Ln(TBPO)4(NO3)2]NTf2 (Ln = Eu, Gd) which are the focus on 8-coordinate complexes of lanthanide nitrates with tetra-TRPO molecules. The two compounds have similar coordinate structure, in which four TBPO molecules and two bidentate nitrates coordinate with the central metal ion and constitute the cation, while NTf2− acts as the anion counterpart.145
